Grandmaster Tấn Nhật Bích is a highly respected master of Vietnamese martial arts and a lifelong advocate for the preservation of Vietnam’s martial heritage.

In the 1960s and 1970s, he trained under Grandmaster Tấn Hoành, mastering the renowned Bình Định style—a system celebrated for its deep historical roots and combat effectiveness. His martial name, Tấn Nhật Bích, was bestowed by his teacher: “Tấn” meaning progress, and “Nhật” meaning daily—a name symbolizing continuous self-improvement. His students carry this name as a proud mark of lineage and tradition.

A former officer in the South Vietnam Air Force, Grandmaster Bích was instrumental in promoting combat sports throughout Vietnam during the 1980s–1990s. He taught boxing and kickboxing, organized major city and national tournaments, and was among the pioneers of early mixed martial arts (MMA) events—as a competitor, coach, and referee.

After relocating to Boston, Massachusetts in 1992, he continued to share and promote Vietnamese martial arts globally. In 2004, he founded the Bình Định Academy, a center dedicated to preserving traditional Vietnamese martial arts and fostering youth development. He also serves on the Board of Advisors for the General Association for the Development of World Martial Arts.

In 2025, Grandmaster Bích was inducted into the Hall of Fame of the World Head of Family Soke Council, an elite international organization of martial arts grandmasters. He is also a member of the World Fighting Martial Arts Federation.

Today, Grandmaster Bích remains deeply committed to honoring Vietnam’s martial legacy, teaching discipline and respect, and inspiring future generations to uphold the values of courage, integrity, and cultural pride.
